I had nothing but the absolute best experience with Above and Beyond. First, it’s a team of really nice guys. Second, they do phenomenal work. They might like it if I switched those two around, but if someone’s going to be in my house everyday, I want to be around nice, pleasant people. That’s important to me. Tim, Scott and the team tiled in the walls behind two toilets and built me a brand new shower. Their work is superior, they arrive when they say they’re going to and leave the work area spotless. I’ll soon be tiling a very large room and there’s no one else that I would allow to do the work but Tim and his team.

Tim did the remodel my bathroom which included a new tile floor, a complete new shower, and a ceiling to floor backsplash. Both Tim & Scott did a wonderful job, their attention to detail was amazing. They took the time to think about the entire layout of the tile, so that all cuts made were well thought out. I was very pleased with their work, and definitely feel comfortable recommending them.

Tim and Scott divided our one bathroom into two separate bathrooms, giving us a master and a guest bath – not an easy job and one requiring a great deal of skill and an attention to detail. They carved out two spaces that are aesthetically striking and even better than what we had envisioned. They were a pleasure to work with, showed up every day until the job was done and delivered on time. They will absolutely be our “go-to” folks whenever we have a new project in our home. I met Tim about three years ago and since that time, he’s done several jobs for me at my home, including the installation of new tile in my guest bathroom (both the floor and in the shower). We had Tim out to our house to look at a project we started but could not complete. He and his crew swept in and not only assisted with a complete shower remodel, he also helped tile our floors as well. I was able to give his crew little instruction about what I wanted in our master shower and the bench and mosaic shampoo shelf they created were absolutely perfect! I love all the transitions and how well it all came together! We chipped off the old, ugly tiles on our fireplace only to find a mess of broken brick underneath. In what was definitely an “oh shit!” moment, we knew we’d need to hire pros to fix it. United Tile directed us to Tim at Above & Beyond to repair our damaged fireplace surround and mantel. Tim was super fast in responding to my initial inquiry, came out to survey the damage right away, and found us the right tile. The job was done quickly and professionally, and seemed like a really good deal.

I have used Tim Purvis at Above & Beyond Home Improvements multiple times. He did a whole house remodeling project recently on a rental property I had purchased. Tim built a wet bar for our bonus room which consisted of plumbing for the sink, electrical upgrades to accommodate mini-fridge and microwave. Tim personally installed the cabinets, performed the drywall work, and the tile work.  

Tim’s bid came in as the lowest, but we were familiar and comfortable with the quality of his work from prior year’s work. The project was done on time at cost, and we were very pleased with the final result. The wet bar is beautiful. Tim’s work on the tile was outstanding. His knowledge, patience, and expertise were invaluable during this process.

We are absolutely thrilled with the outcome of this project and have already gotten the ball rolling on a remodel of our downstairs bathroom by Above and Beyond Home Improvements. The tile work is fantastic and the overall feel to the room is exactly what we were looking for.

Tim and Scott were professionals throughout, including keeping patience with us as we changed decisions a few times. They met with us after-hours and on weekends, gave text/phone updates as needed, and responded to phone or email very quickly. The project started exactly when they said it would, ended on time, and was drama-free.

The project came within budget, and we were kept informed of next steps or upcoming decisions. Tim was sensitive to our budget constraints and was great about giving us options to hit our expectations and remain within our limits.

When challenges came up (thanks to the unique house) the crew from Above and Beyond did just that…. they did what was necessary to get things back on track. It was also refreshing to see that the far majority of the project was done by Tim and Scott themselves rather than handed off to various subcontractors.

When my parents passed away we needed to sell their home. There were many things that needed to be taken care of before the house could go on the market: plumbing, updating of fixtures and flooring, painting, moss treatment and countless other projects.
